About the Austrian Grand Prix Circuit
As Austria’s passion for F1 grew from the 1950s, the purpose-built track was laid, hosting spectacular victories. The track has been redeveloped twice since, and is now known as the Red Bull Ring, although traditionally its Austrian name is the Österreichringhe. The new 4.3 km layout is remarkable for its elevation changes (up to 65m from lowest to highest points) and just nine long sweeping turns, making it one of the fastest races in the season.
