Polo
Polo, known in the Far East as “the sport of kings” is thought to have been played for over 2000 years. The sport was first created in the Middle East and has now more recently been dominated by Argentinian teams. The UK scene is dominated by the county championship as well as hosting some of the world’s most renowned international tournaments such as The Queens Cup, The Gold Cup and The Audi International held at Guards.
Polo resides at the height of the British social calendar and has a number of traditions which go alongside it. Spectators not only get the opportunity to watch some world class sport but also play a role in the game too. In some breaks in play, after the third and sixth ‘chukka’, spectators are allowed onto the 300 yard long pitch to flatten any divots left by hooves.
Polo Hospitality Packages
Polo hospitality makes this most aristocratic event even more lavish. Champagne and canapés are offered on arrival and can be enjoyed in the serene setting of a private garden alongside the pitch. As one of the most highbrow sports in the world there is no better background to entertain guests whilst enjoying the truly mesmerising spectacle.
