The "Sunshine Double" in Indian Wells and Miami is currently setting the tennis world on fire, but for British fans, the real heat is building for June. With the transition to grass just around the corner, the HSBC Championships (6th–21st June) is shaping up to be the most significant Wimbledon warm-up in history. For the second year running, Queen’s will host a back-to-back festival of tennis, featuring a WTA 500 event followed by the prestigious ATP 500 tournament.
Following the massive success of the women's return to Queen's last year, the 2026 schedule is split to give both tours their time in the spotlight.
WTA 500 Week | 6th – 14th June
ATP 500 Week | 15th – 21st June
Located in the heart of West Kensington, the tournament offers an intimate atmosphere that you simply don’t get at the larger Grand Slams. Here, the boundary between the fans and the elite is thinner, making every roar from the Andy Murray Arena feel personal.
If recent form is anything to go by, the2026 grass season will be electric. British No. 1 Jack Draper has already sent shockwaves through the tour this month, stunning 24-time Grand Slam champion Novak Djokovic in a three-set thriller at Indian Wells. Draper, a confirmed entry for Queen's, is proving he has the temperament to thrive on home soil.
Meanwhile, world-renowned superstar and two-time Queen's champion Carlos Alcaraz is also confirmed. Despite a recent semi-final exit in the desert against a resurgent Daniil Medvedev, Alcaraz remains the man to beat on grass. His explosive movement and creative shot-making are made for the slick lawns of W14.
The WTA entry list is already sparkling with talent. World No. 6 Jessica Pegula leads the international charge, coming off a dominant run in Miami where she recently dispatched Jaqueline Cristian with ease. Joining her are:
Suspected Players: While not yet official, the form of world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka in Miami suggests she is the "missing piece" fans are hoping to see added to the list. With her power game perfectly suited for grass, a late entry would make this the strongest WTA field in the tournament's history.
There is no better preparation for Wimbledon than the courts at Queen's. Historically voted the "Best ATP 500 Tournament of the Year" multiple times, the grounds are legendary for their pristine condition. Players use this week to calibrate their footwork and adjust to the lower bounce of the grass, meaning fans see a high-stakes, tactical version of the game that serves as a perfect preview for the following fortnight at the All England Club.
