Melbourne Grand Prix Circuit: 2026 F1 Race
Nestled just three kilometres south of central Melbourne, the Albert Park circuit has been a cornerstone of Australian motorsport history, with racing dating back to 1953. While the track has largely retained its iconic layout since hosting its first F1 Grand Prix in 1996, it underwent significant enhancements in 2021.

These modifications included the adjustment of seven corners (with two removed entirely), a widened pit lane, and the first resurfacing in 25 years. These changes have subtly refined the racing line, reducing the circuit length by 28 metres (from 5.259km to 5.231km) and are anticipated to trim lap times by approximately five seconds, promising even more exhilarating racing for the 2026 season. The circuit's unique charm lies in its temporary nature, with only the two-story pit lane building being a permanent fixture; grandstands and corporate facilities are meticulously constructed each year, transforming the serene Albert Park into a global hub for motorsport.
