The 2024 Summer is Bursting with Sporting Excitement

Summer's here, and the calendar is bursting with reasons to celebrate! We're all looking forward to those annual summer experiences, but this year, there's even bigger events on the horizon: the EUROS and the Olympics!

Euros

14th June – 14th July

In just over a week, the wait is finally over. Beer gardens across the country are polishing their glasses, anticipation in the air, and the familiar chant echoes – "It's coming home!" But do we think this is actually the year England brings the trophy home?

England boasts a talented team, with players hungry to make their mark on the international stage. The past few tournaments have offered valuable experience for the team, but although they are one of the favourites, the competition is fierce. Other European giants like France, Germany, and Spain will also be gunning for glory. England needs to hit the ground running to ensure it comes home. Only time will tell.

The next few weeks will be filled with nail-biting matches, passionate fans, and an unforgettable summer of football. Let’s go England!

Olympics

26th July – 11 August

Following the Euros, the sporting spotlight shifts to the biggest stage of all – the Olympics. Athletes from around the world head to Paris to showcase their dedication and skill, striving for that coveted gold medal. Team GB, fresh off their impressive 4th place finish (with a haul of 64 medals) at the 2021 Games, will be looking to climb even higher. Can they surpass their previous gold medal count of 22 and inspire a nation once again. Whether it's track, gymnastics, swimming, volleyball, the Olympics promise a summer filled with memorable moments.
