Hospitality at Henley

At DTB we pride ourselves in offering an array of sporting options for hosting experiences, a more unique option amongst them being rowing.

Where better to spend your summer days then on the banks of the River Thames sipping on a fruit filled Pimm’s whilst watching world-class rowing races with unrivalled views and even take a trip down the river yourself, all included in the price of a hospitality package at the Henley Royal Regatta. Makes a change to the usual corporate hospitality at one of London’s stadium’s, by taking a trip out to the suburbs, to explore the leafy area of Henley-on-Thames.

The Regatta is the perfect combination of socialising and sport, positioned at the top of the list for premium social sporting events alongside the likes of Ascot and Wimbledon. So, dig out your fascinators, finest summer dress and buff your brogues, the racing begins in under 2 weeks!

Where and when does The Henley Royal Regatta take place

The Regatta usually takes place within the final weeks of June, ending on the first weekend of July in the picturesque town of Henley-on-Thames in Oxfordshire.

This year’s dates: Tuesday 27th June to Sunday 2nd July 2023

If your calendar is looking empty, fill it up and join the thousands of visitors that gather over the course of the week to witness over 300 races of an international standard along the one-mile upstream course, often including Olympic rowers.

Dress code

The dress code plays a vital role in the culture and history of this event. Whilst there is no strict dress code in the Regatta enclosure, guests are encouraged to follow guidelines to keep up the tradition of this quintessentially British event. It is nice to dress up every now and again!

For the men, a jacket of a blazer sort of style along with tie/cravat, tailored trousers, and some smart shoes (no sandals or trainers) will have you looking sophisticated and embraces the high standards and prestige of the event.

For the ladies a go to look is a classy summer dress or skirt. For some areas a hemline no shorter than below the knee is required, so a classic midi/ maxi dress is an excellent option. Trouser suits are also acceptable, although keep in mind the weather as it can get hot. Finally, traditional but not essential, top it off with a hat or fascinator and you are good to go!

Racing Schedule

Racing takes place across all the six days, with heats taking place on the first four days and the semi’s and then the final taking place on the Saturday and Sunday. The event draws in interest from teams all around the world, from the USA, Australia, and Germany, as they take part in a head-to-head knock out competition for a range of different plates and cups.

If you prefer more of a relaxed style, a new hospitality experience, the Lounge at Fawley Meadows, brings a trendy ambience with a gourmet grazing menu and a DJ to heighten the experience.
