Investec Derby Festival Hospitality
Dating back to 1780, Epsom Derby is renowned for being one of the best flat races, attracting the best horses competing for a place on the legendary roll of honour as well as a £1.25m cash prize. For this reason DTB are able to offer fantastic Investec Derby Hospitality.
What to expect
The Investec Derby Festival is the world's oldest continually run sporting event. Over a distance of 1 mile, 4 furlongs and 10 yards it is a Category 1 race exclusively for three year old colts and fillies. Interestingly, although the race is run on a Saturday it used to be held on a Wednesday or Thursday to fit in with train timetables.
Derby day is made up of 7 races, including the coveted Investec Derby Festival itself. The next largest cash prize is handed to the winner of the Coronation Cup, raced over the same distance on the horse shoe shaped course. This event is open to thoroughbreds over the age of 4 with the most successful horse being St Nicholas Abbey, winning three years straight in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
Ladies Day is held before on Friday and promises to be a stylish day out. It hosts The Oaks, the equivalent of the Derby for fillies. In a day full of colour and elegance, hospitality is the glamorous way to watch the races.
