The impressive Stamford Bridge, in the heart of Fulham, hosts over 40,000 football fans and has hosted FA Cup Finals between 1920-1922 as well as rugby, boxing, baseball and cricket matches.
This South West London club have won the FA Cup 7 times, as well as leading the Premier League multiple times, but only being crowned winners for 4 seasons; the latest being in 2012, the same year as they won the Champions League.
Chelsea FC Hospitality and Commercial Development
Chelsea FC celebrated their 100 years in 2005, 2 years after Roman Abramovich bought the club. This Russian billionaire turned Chelsea’s career around, with the club winning 11 major trophies under his control in 10 years. After his ambitious commercial development of the club, he’s attracted high quality players and managers to Chelsea, such as the infamous José Mourinho.
Under Abramovich’s ownership, Mourinho joined the club in 2004 as one of the highest paid managers in football. He helped take Chelsea to the top of the Premier League with the most points ever achieved in the Premiership, before tensions between himself and Abramovich eventually resulted in him leaving in 2007.
In 2013, José made his triumphant return to the club, to many of the fans delight. With the “Special One” now back at Chelsea, the team are top of the Premiership in February with only 3 more months to go.
