Guinness Six Nations
Various Locations around Europe

Played annually, the Guinness Six Nations is the oldest rugby tournament in the world and remains the highlight of international rugby in the northern
hemisphere. England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland, France and Italy come together at the start of spring for a mouthwatering six weeks of rugby.
Over the Years
The Guinness Six Nations has gradually seen more teams join since the first tournament in 1882 played between the 4 home nations. Since then both France and Italy have joined, with the current format of Six teams running since 2000.
As well as competing for the Guinness Six Nations title the competition holds a number of umbrella competitions between teams. This includes; the Triple Crown, contested by the home nations, and the famous Calcutta cup, awarded to the victor of England V Scotland.
