2017 was a peculiar year for the Aegon Tennis Championships as several of the big name players like Milos Raonic, Stan Wawrinka and Andy Murray were knocked out of the tournament on the Tuesday. The finalists, Marin Cilic and Feliciano Lopez, both having seen a Queen’s Club final before, were left to fight through a tough match which Lopez eventually won. Jamie Murray won the men’s doubles with Bruno Soares.
So, will 2018 be as surprising in the singles or will the hopefully injury free Murray, Wawrinka and Nadal restore their usual winning patterns at the Aegon Championships? Alexander Zverev Jr. is a name to look out for, he has taken 5 ATP titles and has broken in to the top 10 rankings recently. He’ll prove a challenge if he plays the Aegon Championships in 2018.
