Twickenham Rugby Stadium
Twickenham Stadium is the largest rugby union stadium in the United Kingdom and has recently been enlarged to seat 82,000. This makes it the second largest stadium in the UK after Wembley Stadium. The stadium is the home of the Rugby Football Union (RFU), and as such primarily a venue for rugby union.
Twickenham stadium is the home of England rugby. Ireland have had the upper-hand in this extremely popular fixture over the last three year’s but England will be looking for a change in fortunes after a very successful 2007 Rugby World Cup campaign in which they reached the final. With recent form behind them, England will start as favourites however Ireland have plenty of talent on offer with the likes of Ronan O’Gara, Brian O’Driscoll and Paul O’Connell in their side making them a very hard team to beat.
