Boybands have been hugely popular for years, and one of the newest British boybands to hit the mainstream is The Vamps. The band has been steadily growing in popularity since 2012, and they were the support act for McFly in 2013. However, due to increasing demand, the boys are now hitting venues across the UK as headliners, and The Genting Arena in Birmingham will host the four-piece on May 8th,2015.
The Vamps first ever arena tour has just started, so fans of the group from Birmingham and the rest of the Midlands do not have long to wait to enjoy this fantastic event, which also features Union J as support act. There will be other special guests appearing on the night before the stars of the show grace the stage and sing favourites such as Somebody to You, Wild Heart, and Can We Dance.
The atmosphere is set to be electric as the Genting Arena can accommodate almost 15,700 standing or 14,000-seated fans. Those lucky enough to get tickets to the ‘Wow Pit’ can enjoy close-up views of Brad, James, Conor, and Tristan from the small pit, which sits directly in front of the stage.
The Genting Arena
The Genting Arena in Birmingham is well serviced by public transport, being close to both the railway station and airport. It is also near the M42 motorway, making it very accessible for those travelling to the show by car.
Fans arriving early can enjoy food, drink, and live entertainment at the venue’s Forum Live area. There are a number of food express outlets offering many different types of cuisine, from British to Mexican delicacies.
Adults can enjoy a nice glass of wine before the show at the Stella Bar or, for those that plan to drive to the concert, the Café Bar serves delicious hot drinks and snacks. There are another two large bars serving snacks and drinks in the main arena.
Fans of The Vamps can purchase band and concert merchandise before, during, and after the show, outside the main arena. Programmes, sweatshirts, t-shirts, glow-sticks, and much more will be available, giving fans the chance to take a memory of the show home with them.
The Vamps are fast becoming one of the most popular boybands in the UK; in their progression to pop stardom, they have supported big names such as McFly, Demi Lovato, Little Mix, The Wanted, and Taylor Swift. The band have been compared to superstars One Direction and are able to headline their own UK tour now after releasing a number of successful singles. The Vamps have also spent time in the US as support act for Austin Mahone.
